SOCIAL MEDIA AS A MARKETPLACE

Written by Young Farmers’ Clubs Zimbabwe

Consumers! Consumers! Consumers!

Social media is an amazing resource to use to connect with your consumers/customers and for them to find out what it is you are offering.

What are you producing? Maize, sweet potato, sorghum, whatever…. Let it be known on the social media platforms.

Use social media to promote your agribusiness, show your consumers every stage of your agricultural cycle so that they know where their produce is coming from. Build a relationship with your consumers through social media.

Competitive prices, Information Gathering!
Use social media to obtain the best market prices and find crops that are high in demand.

You’ve had a disease outbreak within your crops? Find out from other farmers what cost effective ways they have dealt with the situation.

Through your interactions across different social media platforms, get access to new agricultural practices and technologies.
In a nutshell, we as Young Farmers need to take advantage of the technological resources our generation is lucky to have.
Young Farmers connect, and keep farming!!!!!!
